Flowers are important here at Laura Aldridge Art in Benidoleig on the Costa Blanca, as they form an endless source of inspiration. I love the colours, the texture, their smell, how seeing a group of pretty flowers can lift my spirits and make me smile.

This spring bouquet echos the beautiful blue skies we are fortunate to see most days in the Costa Blanca.

In past times, certain flowers were considered to have particular meanings, for example red roses are given to express romantic love. Daisies signify innocence and loyal love.

These days, the giving of the flower and the sentiment with which it is given gives the gift its meaning. Give the gift with love and happiness and its meaning is clear.
